Slopeside Pub & Grill a Destination for Design Enthusiasts

April 22, 2019

Who wouldn’t want to visit a restaurant in the mountains where every seat in the house promises to be a window seat? The well thought out interior design of Slopeside Pub & Grill is attributed to the talented team at Howard Kulp Architects (HKA).

With a family-friendly appeal and a destination-worthy address, Slopeside was in need of a style that flowed seamlessly with its natural counterparts, the Pocono Mountains.

To accomplish this feat, the HKA team chose four colors of porcelain tile that could be used in both indoor and outdoor spaces. This helped create the flow necessary for a successful interior design plan.

The tile can be found on the deck, the indoor seating area, the bar areas, and inside the retail store. HKA created a mix of colors with their tile choices that boast a one of a kind aesthetic and a “born to stand out” vibe.

In addition to the flooring selection, we have to note the attention to detail by using so many windows to create natural light from the great outdoors. Not only has it been proven that naturally lit spaces are considered to be more healthy, but when you’re surrounded by nature, why wouldn’t you want the light source to match?

This 8,000 sq. ft. space is home to the final project, completed in 2014, as well as some of the best food and drinks travelers will find!
